Our story

We are the Nogan family. Applewood Farm is a family owned Black Angus cow/calf farm and feedlot located in beautiful Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, just twenty minutes north of the greater Scranton area. Founded by Ann & Jeff Nogan, the farm was purchased in 1984 and started with a cow/calf pair and a dream.

With the help of their sons Ben and Dave, today the business has expanded to include an agricultural/cattle supply as well as our custom ag-bagging business Nogan Supply.

We’re thankful to be able to provide our product to our local communities. The satisfaction of being able to supply beef, born, raised, and fed locally from pasture to plate helps ensure that our customers are receiving the finest beef possible.
